Inerting means the displacement of air of reactive respectively explosive gases or gas mixtures from storage equipment for bulk solids and liquids by adding inert gases, such as argon, nitrogen or carbon dioxide. This is a key issue in fire and explosion prevention.
Our porous materials are excellent suited for the active fire prevention by permanent inertisation in silos for explosive materials. During storage and transport of liquids in tanks the even feeding of the gas at the tank bottom offers the security that the liquid surface is completely shielded by the inert gas.
The geometries of our aeration components can be perfectly adapted to the respective applications.
