Filtration of liquids

With liquid filtration, Siperm-materials are particularly suitable as deep-bed filters for liquids with low solids concentration. Due to the low solids content the early blockage of the filter surface is avoided, ultimately leading to a longer lifetime of the filter. Classical fields of application are inter alia drinking-water purification, beverage processing, purification of hydraulic oils and heating fuels.

Because of their food-safeness, our materials SIPERM® R and SIPERM® HP are particularly suitable for the use in the drinking-water and beverage industry.

The cleaning of the filters usually takes place in scheduled time intervals by backwashing in a counter-current process or, if necessary, in case of excessive increase of pressure loss.
